Ojude Oba Iperu – Celebrating Royal Heritage, Culture & Unity
Once a year, the sons and daughters of Iperu return in splendour to honour the throne, celebrate our roots, and showcase the heartbeat of Yoruba heritage. Join us in a festival of colours, drums, pride, and tradition.
Each year, on the third day after Eid al-Adha, the town of Iperu comes alive with a majestic festival unlike any other. Ojude Oba Iperu is a sacred gathering where indigenes from across the world return home to pay homage to the Alaperu — our revered monarch — in a grand display of loyalty, culture, and elegance.
With colorful age-grade parades, regal horsemen, rhythmic drumming, and vibrant traditional attire, the festival is a living testament to the pride and resilience of the Yoruba people.
This is not just a celebration.
It’s a homecoming of hearts, a parade of heritage, and a royal tribute passed from one generation to the next.
